NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State volleyball junior Kaitlyn Prondzinski has medically retired, as announced by the program on Wednesday.
"We are grateful for Kaitlyn's loyalty and contribution to Illinois State and the volleyball program," first-year head coach Allie Matters said. "Injuries are always out of our control, and we know KP didn't make the decision lightly. We support what's best for her and her future. Kaitlyn is a Redbird for life!"
Prondzinski missed 11 matches due to injury in 2021 and three matches due to injury in spring 2021, prior to suffering another injury in 2022.
