PEORIA, Ill. -- Third-year Bradley Volleyball head coach Carol Price-Torok made a special addition to her roster with the signing of Allie Salmon (Pekin, Ill.) to a Letter of Intent during a special ceremony Thursday afternoon at Renaissance Coliseum.
A 10-year old from nearby Pekin, Ill., Allie is currently undergoing treatment at St. Louis Children's Hospital for an immune dysfunction known as Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM), which is an inflammatory disease of the muscle (myositis), skin, and blood vessels that affects approximately three in one million children each year. She was diagnosed with JDM, which primary symptoms include muscle weakness and skin rash, in June 2016.
