VERMILLION, S.D. – Bradley Volleyball hit .207 as a team and received a double-double from senior Hannah Thompson, but defending Summit League champion South Dakota hit at a .330 clip as the Coyotes swept the Braves 25-17, 25-20, 27-25 Thursday night to open play at the South Dakota Classic.
Playing its third consecutive road match, Bradley (1-5 overall) ran into a hot-hitting South Dakota (1-3 overall) team that was picked to defend its Summit League title this fall. The Coyotes hit .330 as a team and got a match-high 13 kills from Sami Slaughter to claim the match.
