TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Freshman Kendall Minta had a team-best nine kills and junior Doga Topcicek tied for match-high honors with 16 digs, but Bradley Volleyball opened Missouri Valley Conference play with a 12-25, 25-21, 13-25, 17-25 setback to Indiana State Friday at ISU Arena.
Indiana State (2-7 overall, 1-0 MVC) hit .300 in the contest as the Sycamores topped the Braves (4-9 overall, 0-1 MVC) in four sets.
The Sycamores broke open what was a four-point contest in the first set at 12-8 with a five-point spurt to take a 17-8 lead.
