DeKALB, ILL. – Fifth-year senior Natalie Vaughn-Low recorded her second brace of the season as the Illinois State women's soccer team won, 4-2, at Northern Illinois on Sunday at the NIU Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
Vaughn-Low, who also scored twice at Eastern Michigan to open the campaign, netted goals in the 24th and 47th minutes for the Redbirds (2-6 overall).
The Huskies (3-4 overall) scored 45 seconds apart in the second half to tie the match at 2-2 but redshirt junior Indianna Asimus, assisted by senior Logan Ziegler, scored on a 69th-minute left-footed touch from eight yards out to put ISU up, 3-2.
