VALPARAISO, Ind. – Valparaiso’s first season in the Missouri Valley Conference in 2017-18 was an eye- opener for a program that had been in postseason play for seven years in a row out of the Horizon League.
The Crusaders were competitive in most Valley games, only dropping a pair by double digits. But they still finished last with a 6 -12 league record.
They’re off to a good start this year toward changing their fortunes. Valparaiso, 9-6 overall, is 2-0 in the MVC with wins over Illinois State and Missouri State heading into a 7 p.m. Tuesday home game against 0-2 Bradley.
