PEORIA, IL – In its first game after setting the program record for runs (16) and margin of victory (15) in a Missouri Valley Conference game, Bradley Softball could not get the timely hit it needed, as the Braves (9-7, 2-1 MVC) saw their 7-game winning streak come to an end with a 4-0 loss to Valparaiso (5-11, 1-2 MVC) Sunday afternoon at Petersen Hotels Field.
Bradley swept a league-opening doubleheader Saturday against Valpo, rallying for a 5-3 win before cruising to a 16-1 victory in the night cap, but the Braves were unable to string together enough hits Sunday to keep its winning streak going.
