NORMAL — Turnover-itis reared its ugly head again for Illinois State's basketball team, this time costing the Redbirds a chance to snap a losing streak to their biggest rival.
ISU built a 12-point lead early in the second half before the turnovers doomed the Redbirds. Zach Copeland sank three free throws with nine seconds left for ISU to force overtime, but Bradley came through in the extra five minutes to post a 74-71 victory in a Missouri Valley Conference game before a Redbird Arena crowd of 5,541.
Bradley never trailed in the overtime, quickly building a five-point lead.
