Trio of Bradley freshmen granted releases from program

PEORIA -- Three members of the Bradley men’s basketball team’s 2015-16 freshman class have been granted releases and will pursue transfer opportunities, BU coach Brian Wardle announced Friday.

Center Davante Cooper, forward Scottie James and guard Joel Okafor, all of whom played sparingly in the second half of the season, will leave the program. “I want to thank Davante, Scottie and Joel for all of their efforts representing Bradley basketball and we will do all that we can to help them continue their careers as student-athletes,” said Wardle. “They did a good job of helping us establish our standards and build our culture and we are grateful.
