Transfer Megginson fitting right in with ISU line

NORMAL — A youth movement in Champaign has helped the Illinois State football team get a bit older on its offensive line.

A transfer from the University of Illinois, Gabe Megginson has rapidly acclimated to his new surroundings as a Redbird during spring drills.

“Gabe has been really enjoyable to be around. He’s a got great personality,” ISU coach Brock Spack said. “He’s very good. He will help us.”

Megginson played in 22 games the past two seasons for the Fighting Illini and started 11. But late last season, it became apparent Illinois wanted to move forward with younger linemen.
