PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Baseball junior Timmy O'Brien has been named the Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, as announced Tuesday.
O'Brien earned the honor after a standout week at the plate, highlighted by two home runs—including a game-winning grand slam against Western Illinois. The Park Ridge, Illinois native also delivered the go-ahead homer in Bradley's series finale win over Belmont on April 13.
In total, O'Brien recorded five RBIs and three runs scored during the week, pushing his season total to a team-leading 10 home runs—ranking him in the top 8 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
