PEORIA, Ill. – Sophomore Tiana LoStracco (Guelph, Ontario/St. James) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after breaking the school record in the women's 600 meters at Saturday's Hawkeye Invitational.
LoStracco won her heat and finished fifth overall in the 600 meters, clocking a school record 1:34.72 to top the previous mark of 1:35.44 set in 1990 by Melodie Turner. An elementary education major, LoStracco owns a 3.88 cumulative grade point average.
Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.
