SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Three Illinois State track & field student-athletes posted personal-best performances during day one of Notre Dame's Meyo Invite at the Loftus Indoor Sports Center.
Competing in her first 200-meter dash since Jan. 17, sophomore Tori Ortiz ran to a personal-best time of 24.70 seconds to finish 12th overall against some impressive competition that featured 46 runners. Ortiz, who will compete in the 400m and the 4x400m relay tomorrow, sits just outside of the indoor top-10 in the 200m.
Sophomore Eddie Winner, who competed in only his fifth meet as a Redbird today, passed teammate Kellen Kravik on the ISU indoor top-10 list with a personal-best clearance of 5.
