NORMAL — By the time TeTe Maggett got done with the Western Illinois women's basketball team at Redbird Arena on Wednesday, the Leathernecks' early 25-10 lead was of no consequence.
Maggett's career-high 33 points during a 78-65 Illinois State victory made the crowd of 685 forget about a sluggish start and focus on a five-game winning streak.
"Obviously, TeTe Maggett was just too good," said WIU coach J.D. Gravina, whose team fell to 1-42 all-time against ISU and 4-5 for the season. "I thought we were guarding her pretty hard. I wanted to stay a little tighter on her.
