PEORIA, IL – In its lone doubleheader of the season, Bradley (3-1) swept a pair of dual matches Saturday at the Clubs at River City, starting the day with a 6-1 victory against Omaha (1-4) in front of a historic, 5-2 win against in-state rival Eastern Illinois (3-1).
The afternoon win against the Panthers gives Bradley its first win against Eastern Illinois since 2000 and came after the Braves dropped the leadoff doubles point. Senior Malini Wijesinghe started the rally against the Panthers with a straight-sets win at No. 3 Singles, which was followed closely by sophomore Sandra Maletin's straight-sets win at No.
