Senior Taylor Floyd Mews of the Bradley track and field team was named Missouri Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
On Friday at Indiana's Gladstein Invitational, Floyd Mews clocked the second-fastest time in school history in the mile run. The senior finished first in the event with a mark of 4:04.89, improving his PR time set just one week prior by nearly eight seconds and falling just short of the school record set by Michael Ward in 2016.
Floyd Mews currently owns the top time in the mile in the Missouri Valley Conference this season – almost nine seconds ahead of the next highest non-BU runner – with his mark also ranking 17th in the country.
