IOWA CITY, IA – Iowa's final at-bat at Duane Banks Field has been painful for Bradley Baseball the last two seasons. What appeared to be an inning-ending line out in the eighth inning turned into a go-ahead, 3-run error when the setting sun kept Jean-Francois Garon from holding on to the liner with two outs and the bases loaded, allowing the host Hawkeyes (12-10) to rally for a 4-2 win Tuesday night.
Tuesday's setback was reminiscent of last year's visit to Duane Banks Field, when the Hawkeyes used a walk-off grand slam to earn a 13-9 win against the Braves.
