NORMAL, Ill. – Rising redshirt sophomore Ryan Hutchinson found a home at third base for the Redbirds this spring, and he's manning the hot corner this summer down in Kokomo.
Playing for the Kokomo Jackrabbits of the Prospect League, Hutchinson has played to a .317/.476/.476 batting line through 19 games. He has tallied six extra-base hits, eight RBIs and six stolen bases, while posting team-high totals of 14 runs scored and 17 walks drawn.
Hutchinson has hit safely in nine-consecutive games, with four multi-hit games during the stretch. He has reached base safely – either via a hit or walk – in all 19 games he's played in this summer.
