Former Illinois State shortstop Owen Miller has been named a third team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings.
Miller, who set the ISU season hits record with 88, recently made his professional debut, going 1-for-4 with an RBI double for the Tri-City Dust Devils, an affiliate of the San Diego Padres. He was drafted in the third round of the MLB draft with the 84th pick.
Miller led the Redbirds by batting .384 and also had eight stolen bases, 45 runs, 15 doubles, six home runs, 35 RBIs and a .537 slugging percentage.
