NORMAL, Ill. – As the calendar officially flips to February, the start of the 2021 season gets that much closer for the Redbirds, who were back on the turf at Hancock Stadium Tuesday afternoon for practice under sunny skies.
Practice Highlights:
• The practice featured a couple of new wrinkles in a live kickoff coverage drill and extensive work on crucial third-down situations.
• Quarterbacks liked the condition a lot better than the windy and rainy conditions during Saturday's scrimmage and were on point during the first 7-on-7 period … Bryce Jefferson was 4-for-4 with completions to four different receivers, while Britton Morris was also 4-for-4 with a pair of completions to Tristan Bailey.
