Brock Spack will be working again Saturday at Hancock Stadium. This time the Illinois State coach will greet his son and starting linebacker before his final home game as a Redbird, a noon regular-season finale against Missouri State.
“I’m not going to walk out with him,” said Coach Spack, who traditionally stands at the end of the line to acknowledge the seniors and their families on Senior Day. “I will give him a handshake, a big hug and tell him how proud I am of him.
