ORLANDO, Fla. -- Senior Megan Mahaffy held Purdue to three hits and Bradley used a big six-run fourth to break open the game for a 12-3, five-inning victory over the Boilermakers Friday morning to open play at the Citrus Classic.
Mahaffy earned her first victory of the season in the complete game effort, scattering three runs and three hits over the five-inning outing. Freshmen combined for 5 of Bradley's 12 hits and drove in eight runs in the contest with Lucy Mead going 2-for-2 with a run, two walks and four driven in.
