EVANSVILLE, IN – Bradley Soccer went on the road to play five of its first six Missouri Valley Conference games and the Braves (4-4-3, 3-2-1 MVC) emerged from their travels with 10 points in the league standings. The most recent trio of points came courtesy of a 1-0 win at Evansville (2-8-1, 0-5-0 MVC) Sunday afternoon at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
Junior forward Gerit Wintermeyer finished off a scoring chance set up by senior midfielder Jha'Lon Johnson in the 27th minute to net the game's lone goal. Johnson fed Wintermeyer on the right wing and the team scoring leader added to his totals by beating Evansville keeper Frederik Reimer with a shot inside the right post for his fourth tally of the season at 26:52.
