PEORIA, IL – The Bradley soccer team officially opened the 2019 season on Friday night, playing Belmont to a 0-0 draw in front of 1,233 fans at Shea Stadium. With the tie, the Braves extended their non-conference unbeaten streak to 15 games, dating back to the 2017 season.
The schools played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer but it was the Braves that had the better of the chances, especially in the second half and overtime. BU's best opportunity came in the 88th minute when Gerit Wintermeyer fired a shot from right outside the box.
