FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior high jumper Kameesha Smith earned Second Team All-America honors for the second time in her career, tying for 10th in the high jump at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday afternoon at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
Smith, who made her first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships, cleared 1.71 meters (5-7.25 ft.) and 1.76 meters (5-9.25 ft.) on her first attempts before missing all three attempts at the 1.81 meters (5-11.25 ft.) bar.
Her 10th-place finish is her best finish ever at an NCAA Championship meet, placing 12th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2019.
