Six former Bradley Baseball players are scheduled to start their 2017 Minor League Baseball seasons tonight, including a trio of Braves at the Triple-A level.
Two Braves, RHP Rob Scahill and OF Mike Tauchman, were non-roster invitees during Major League Baseball spring training camps for the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies, respectively, but both have been re-assigned to Triple-A to start the season. Scahill turned in a stellar spring training by allowing only one run in his 12 appearances, finishing up the preseason with a 0.73 ERA and .205 opponent batting average in his 12.1 innings for the Brewers.
