CARBONDALE, IL – Guards Caroline Waite and Tatum Koenig shared team-high honors with 17 points each, but a large disparity in offensive rebounds, turnovers and free throw attempts proved too much for Bradley (3-13, 0-7 MVC) to overcome Saturday afternoon at Southern Illinois. The Salukis (10-6, 5-1 MVC) moved into sole possession of second place in the Missouri Valley Conference standings with a 53-41 win at Banterra Center.
Bradley limited the host Salukis to just 29.3 percent (17-58) shooting from the field, but SIU snared 19 offensive rebounds and outscored the Braves, 15-3, in second-chance points.
