Sophomore David Shadid of the Bradley track team broke his own school record in the 400m dash, highlighting day one at the Gladstein Invitational on Friday night. An additional five student-athletes set personal-best marks at the meet hosted by Indiana University.
Shadid finished third in the 400m dash fast section, clocking a time of 48.52 to top his previous record of 49.36. The sophomore set the record for the third time in his two years on campus with the previous standard holding for 36 years.
"It was a great start to day one at Indiana," said Bradley head coach Darren Gauson.
