ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Junior Aida Shadewald was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week while freshman Khenedi Guest was named the MVC's Freshman of the Week for their performances against Missouri State and Southern Illinois, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Shadewald posted a pair of double-doubles in the Redbirds' 2-0 weekend sweep of Missouri State and Southern Illinois to move her season total to 10. The junior outside hitter averaged 4.00 kills per set on .338 hitting while adding 3.50 digs per frame and 4.94 points per set.
