School Records Fall At Gladstein Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Three school records highlighted the opening day of competition at the Gladstein Invitational for the Bradley men’s and women’s track & field teams Friday night with the Braves setting new marks in the men’s 400 meters, men’s 5,000 meters and women’s 3,000 meters.

The senior duo of Caitlin Busch (Waterloo, Ill./Freeburg) and Kristen Busch (Waterloo, Ill./Freeburg) both topped the previous school record in the women’s 3,000 meters with Caitlin edging out her sister for the new mark. Caitlin was sixth in the field with a time of 9:32.55 to top her previous career-best effort by 15 seconds and crossed the line three seconds ahead of Mary Ellen Hill’s 1999 school-record pace of 9:35.
