TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Indiana State's Samage Teel was not going to be held 10 points under his season average this time.
Teel, the Missouri Valley Conference's second leading scorer, instead more than doubled his 16.9 average with a 36-point explosion in the Sycamores' 85-76 win over Illinois State Saturday at Hulman Center.
The Redbirds had limited Teel to seven points in an 85-81 win on Jan. 21 at CEFCU Arena.
ISU fell to 15-12 overall and 7-9 in the MVC, while Indiana State advanced to 13-14 and 7-9 in league play.
