KANSAS CITY - Former Bradley Baseball catcher Ryan Eigsti (Eureka, IL/Eureka H.S.) began chasing his "Big League" dreams when he was selected in the 15th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Kansas City Royals. Although he retired after playing 21 games at the Triple-A level in 2012, Eigsti will make his Major League coaching staff debut in 2017 as the bullpen catcher for the Kansas City Royals.
Eigsti was included among the coaching staff changes the Royals announced Monday. Among his duties, Eigsti will throw batting practice throughout the season, warm up each game's starting pitcher and assist in the bullpen during games.
