NORMAL – Illinois State tailbacks Josh Robinson and Cole Mueller both had lost fumbles kicking around in their brains Saturday at Hancock Stadium.
Robinson and Mueller both discovered the best way to exorcise those demons was to get back on the ballcarrying horse and ride.
A true freshman, Robinson fumbled early in the game but after a mental reset returned to lead ISU with 84 yards on eight carries in a 48-17 win over Lindenwood.
“I was about ready to go ballistic when the young freshman fumbled,” ISU coach Brock Spack said.
