A Saluki nemesis dating back to 2016, Robinson rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on 31 carries to haul the Redbirds to a 21-7 Missouri Valley Football Conference victory before a crowd of 5,525.
"Nothing really changes with James. You've got to get him the ball," ISU coach Brock Spack said. "I just heard we're 17-5 when he scores a touchdown. We've got to get him touchdowns more often."
No. 13-ranked ISU moved to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the MVFC. The Salukis slipped to 2-4 and 0-2, respectively, haunted by a Redbird pass rush that produced nine sacks.
