For the fourth time this season, junior Terry Roberts of the Bradley basketball team was honored by the Missouri Valley Conference as the league's Newcomer of the Week, announced on Monday.
Leading the Braves to a 2-0 week, Roberts averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in a pair of victories against Drake and Southern Illinois. The junior college transfer opened the week on Wednesday with 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists at Drake, helping the Braves end the Bulldogs' 13-game home-court winning streak. Roberts then followed up with 18 points and six rebounds in a win over the Salukis, while also matching career highs with seven assists and three blocks.
