PEORIA — Winning ugly never looked so beautiful to the Bradley Braves.
The Braves, mired in a five-game funk in which they lost four, seemed destined to continue that downward trend much of Saturday’s 63-60 win over Southeastern Louisiana.
The visitors led for 28 minutes, bagging a season-best 11 3-pointers and holding Bradley to 30 percent shooting to forge a 60-55 lead with just two minutes left.
“We needed this win, big time,” said guard Darrell Brown. “Things weren’t going our way, but we just kept fighting.”
The best battle came at the end.
