Seven games in, the only predictable force in the Missouri Valley Conference is unpredictability.
Especially on this past Wednesday night.
There was Bradley emerging from a six-game shooting slumber by posting its highest point total in a league game in eight years for an 85-68 win over Illinois State. The 85 points were 30 points over the Braves’ average for its first six Valley games.
Here was struggling Indiana State, losers of three of four, pulling off a similar rout of MVC co-leader Valparaiso 70-53.
But the biggest shocker came in Springfield, Mo., where 2-4 Missouri State completely dismantled co-leader and league favorite Loyola 70-35.
