Barry Hinson, as only the glib Southern Illinois coach can do, described the relief he felt Wednesday night when Anthony Beane’s late 3-pointers provided the separation needed for the Salukis to beat Bradley 71-59.
“Until Anthony hits the (first) 3 (at 3:46), it’s a five-point game,” he said. “And if we don’t score there, ooh man, it’s like me and Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘The Revenant.’ We’d be in a bear fight.
