One year after resigning as men’s head basketball coach at Drake, East Peoria native Ray Giacoletti is back in the game.
Not as a coach, but as a broadcaster. And he’s coming to Carver Arena on Jan. 23 to call the Missouri State-Bradley game as color commentator for the MSU Network.
Giacoletti, 55, now lives in St. Louis with his wife, Kim. He’ll work 14 games on regional TV and ESPN3 broadcasts by the time the season ends.
Giacoletti’s assignments range from the Southern Illinois women, for whom his niece Kylie (also from East Peoria) plays, to the Ohio Valley Conference men’s tournament as well as a couple of Missouri Valley Conference men’s games.
