It was time for Bradley guard Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye to step up. And for the Braves to step out.
The senior from England had totaled just 11 points the past three games. That changed in a big way Wednesday night.
Lautier-Ogunleye scored 18 points on 4-for-5 shooting from 3-point range to lead the Braves to an 81-73 Missouri Valley Conference win at Evansville. He also grabbed a dozen rebounds.
Two of those 3s came on back-to-back second-half possessions that capped a 12-0 BU run, giving the Braves a 52-46 lead, one it wouldn’t relinquish. A third trey was a timely dagger coming with three minutes left in the game, pushing the Bradley lead to nine.
