LAKEWOOD RANCH, FLA. – The women's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Mid-American Match Play Challenge by winning the first (5-0-0) and losing the second (3-2-0). The tournament is being played on the par-72, 6,068 yard Royal Lakes course at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club.
In the first round the Redbirds went head-to-head against Western Illinois, claiming each their five points before the 18th hole.
Senior Caitlin Sims played competitively in the first round by getting an early lead against her opponent and finished 7 up & 6 to go.
