NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball seniors went out in style in Redbird Arena Sunday, guiding ISU to a 74-53 victory over the Valparaiso Crusaders.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Redbirds shot 50 percent from the floor in the first period, surging past the Crusaders 17-11. Illinois State tied the game at sixes with 6:52 on the clock as Viria Livingston grabbed the offensive rebound and put it back for two. Seniors Simone Goods and Katrina Beck followed with a layup each, extending ISU's lead to four and the 'Birds never looked back, keeping the lead through the end of the first half.
