NORMAL, ILL.- The Illinois State track & field program secured the Coughlan-Malloy Cup for the fifth-straight year after defeating Indiana State in the annual dual, 160-139, on Saturday inside Horton Field House.
The Coughlan-Malloy Cup is unique in that the men's and women's team scores are combined into an overall score and the team with the highest combined total wins the traveling trophy.
"I was overall really pleased with the energy of the team", Director of Track and Field/Cross country Jeff Bovee said. "We've been working on our chemistry this season through team building.
