NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's tennis team picked up big wins and key points Saturday afternoon, as the Redbirds went 11-1 in the Davis Cup-style Redbird Invitational at the Gregory Street Courts. Thanks to those points won, ISU will advance to three finals on Sunday.
"I am so pleased with how we played today," ISU head coach Mark Klysner said. "The guys picked up the energy from the first point and stayed focused throughout the day. Overall, we went 11-1 on the day and now we are fortunate to get to play in three finals tomorrow, which is always nice when you host an event.
