YPSILANTI, Mich. – The action at the Eagle Invitational was busier on day one than expected, as forecasts for Sunday's inclement weather forced a change to the schedule for Friday and Saturday. The Redbirds competed in one round of doubles and two rounds of singles at the Chippewa Club and at Ypsilanti Community High School.
"This is our third straight week of competing and I'm really happy to see improvement across the board," ISU head coach Maja Kovacek said. "Two-day events are physically challenging, and we responded well today. We were able to pick up some good wins at the end of the day and head into tomorrow with some momentum.
