NORMAL -- Milik Yarbrough scored 28 points as Illinois State held off Missouri State, 65-57, in a Missouri Valley Conference basketball game before a Redbird Arena crowd of 4,468.
Phil Fayne added 18 points as ISU improved to 16-14 overall and 9-8 in the league. The Redbirds closes the regular season at 1 p.m. Saturday against Southern Illinois at Carbondale.
Missouri State (16-14, 10-7), which was tied for first place in the Valley with Drake and Loyola entering the game, was led by Keandre Cook with 17 points while Jarred Dixon had 16.
