COLUMBUS, Ohio – Illinois State gave No. 10 seed Ohio State a scare in doubles play, but the Buckeyes eventually prevailed and went on to secure a 4-0 win over the Redbirds Saturday at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center in Columbus, Ohio, in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship.
"I'm so proud of our team today they did a great job against a very good Ohio State team," ISU head coach Maja Kovacek said. "We played especially well in the doubles and knew we could compete there heading into the match.
