BLOOMINGTON, Ill.-- The Illinois State men's tennis team (2-2) fell to the Ball State Cardinals (1-2) of the Mid-American Conference by a score of 4-3 on Saturday evening. The Redbirds recorded three singles victories and one doubles win.
In doubles play, Caden Scarlett and Tomas Valencia secured a 7-6 (8) win at No. 1 doubles defeating Mason Tran and Jacks Lancaster of Ball State.
In singles play, Tomas Valencia recorded a 6-7 (6), 6-1, 6-3 win over Webster at No. 1. At the No. 4 spot Jett Leong posted a 6-3, 7-6 (5) victory over Tran.
