KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Illinois State men's tennis team opened a busy weekend of tennis on Friday afternoon in Michigan, as the Redbirds traveled to Kalamazoo to take on Western Michigan in a non-conference matchup. The Broncos took the early lead and never looked back, as they came away with a 7-0 win over the Redbirds.
WMU swept the doubles matches to take the early lead by winning the doubles point. Once the action moved to singles, they kept the momentum with a sweep of those matches as well to come away with the shutout victory.
