CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – A busy weekend of tennis that saw Illinois State play three matches in two days wrapped up on Sunday, as the Redbirds traveled to nearby Champaign, Illinois, to compete against the Butler Bulldogs and the host Illini. Unfortunately for the Redbirds, it was tough go as Butler picked up a 4-1 win over ISU and the Illinois collected a 6-1 victory to wrap up the weekend.
"Overall, I was really happy with how we played today," ISU head coach Mark Klysner said. "Some of the guys are a little banged up and yet gave it everything they had.
